A rare two-seater sofa from the famous “Mobili nella Valle” series, created by Mario Ceroli in 1972 for Poltronova. Entirely constructed from shaped and carved wood, this piece combines the plastic power of sculpture with the functionality of design, representing one of the high points of the artist’s research.
The forms are essential and monumental, characterized by a balance between art and craftsmanship, modernity and tradition. The work reflects Ceroli's poetics, which conceives furniture as a habitable sculpture: objects to be lived with and touched, capable of establishing a direct and sensitive relationship with those who use them.

Mario Ceroli
Mario Ceroli is an Italian sculptor born in Castel Frentano, Italy in 1938. His work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson, Mississippi. One of his sculptures is on the Luigi Einaudi campus of the University of Turin and another one is at the Vatican Museums.
