Rare sofa by Torbjørn Afdal model "Studio Open", designed in 1965.
This sofa consists of a rosewood frame with down-filled cushions in black leather. The sofa has beautiful details and was designed with an impressive sense of quality.
Condition: The sofa is in very good original condition with light patina on the leather. The bottom piece upon wich the cushions rest have been restored with new fabric.

Torbjørn Afdal
Torbjørn Afdal was one of the leading designers at Bruksbo Tegnekontor and in Scandinavia. Afdal became more well known when his furniture was bought by US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and by the Japanese Emperor. In later years, he was granted the commission to design the parliamentary and chairs and tables to the courthouse in Oslo.
