About the Item

The Chesterfield-style three-seater sofa by Otto Schulz features deep button tufting on the back and armrests, which are streamlined and gently curving in accordance to the aesthetic of the age. Otto Schulz was a key figure in mid-century modern Scandinavian design. Born in Germany, the designer and architect lived and worked in Gothenburg, Sweden, for most of his life. In 1920, Schulz co-founded Boet, an influential interior and furniture manufacturer. The sofa is in good vintage condition and has been reupholstered in a natural hemp twill fabric.
