About the Item
A magnificent pair of 19th Century Italian gilt shaped-frame wood benches with decorative paint, rose and gold silk. The frames are in excellent antique condition for their age; there is some surface wear to the paint evident here and there, however, the gilt and white remain vibrant. The Empire polychrome silk is in distressed, original condition and has retained much of its rich color. Priced and sold as a pair.
