We are delighted to this stunning RRP £10,800 large George Smith signature collection standard arm three-seat sofa upholstered with Aztec Kilims This sofa is pretty much the best condition George Smith Kilim I have ever seen, it is in perfect condition to my hands and eyes Kilim upholstery furniture dates back to the early Victorian era, they were present in the finest country homes, a Kilim is basically a rug used for upholstery, this sofa has two large kilims used, they are an Aztec pattern and look amazing The cushions are very thick and heavy feather filled, George Smith sofas have a special feature, the backrest stops short of the bottom and leaves a gap for the cushions to go inside the frame, it means the cushions sit in place allot easier and have more feathers, the main reason is through your never sitting on the back edge of the cushion which is where it would be more likely to go flat so you have a better seat for longer Dimensions: Height 85 cm Width 215 cm Depth 105 cm with the back to the wall to the front of the frame, 109 cm to the front of the cushion Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
