This restored three seater Chesterfield sofa is the distinguished Oskar model by Tetrad, a design that reimagines the classic Chesterfield with broader proportions and a more relaxed, contemporary English character. With its low back, deep seat, and generous scale, it offers an inviting presence while retaining the timeless authority of traditional Chesterfield form.
Upholstered in hand-dyed leather using a traditional English technique, the finish has exceptional depth and individuality. The dye is applied by hand and worked gradually into the hide, allowing the natural grain, markings, and subtle variations of the leather to remain visible. This layered process creates a rich, nuanced surface that cannot be replicated by factory spraying, ensuring each piece is unique. Over time, the leather will continue to soften and develop a warm patina, enhancing both comfort and character.
The deep buttoned detailing has been carefully restored, preserving the sculptural quality and craftsmanship that define the Oskar model. Internally, the sofa has been professionally restored, with the frame checked and stabilised and the cushioning refreshed to deliver lasting support while maintaining the relaxed sit for which Tetrad is renowned.
