About the Item

This Rolf Benz three-seater Dono sofa, designed by Christian Werner in the late 1990s, combines sculptural clarity with exceptional comfort and functionality. The piece is defined by its striking architectural frame with wide veneered wooden shelves that extend along the back and sides, resting on brushed stainless steel supports. The loose back cushions are positioned against the shelf, creating a light and open silhouette while offering flexible arrangement. Upholstered in supple white leather, the sofa carries the subtle patina of time with some natural wear that enhances its authentic character. A remarkable feature of the Dono sofa is its sliding seat function: the base can be pulled forward by around 25 cm, transforming the sofa into a generous lounge with deeper seating. This duality of strict geometric form and relaxed adaptability made the Dono one of Rolf Benz’s most innovative designs. Dxhxl: 107x86x246 cm
