About the Item

This three-seat sofa with its hand-carved frame (note the pine needles and pinecones, the stylized elephant toe feet) is rarely available. Our workshop has restored this fine example, inside and out, and reupholstered it with soft curly shearling. Otto Wretling was a Swedish artist, designer, and furniture maker. He and his brother took over their father’s paint company in Umeå, Sweden and in 1905 expanded it to include furniture. Eventually, all five of his children and his wife contributed to the ongoing of Firma Otto Wretling för Modern Rumskonst (The Otto Wretling Firm for Modern Room Art).
