About the Item
This Sofa by Wharton Esherick exemplifies his pioneering role in the American Craft Movement. This is his first sofa design, one of Four ever made.
Known for his dedication to organic forms and meticulous craftsmanship, Esherick imbued this piece with a sculptural quality that harmonizes function with art. The sofa’s curved structure and intricate detailing showcase his unique design approach and mastery of wood.

With its significant provenance and remarkable design, this piece serves not only as furniture but also as a testament to Esherick's influential artistry.
