About the Item
This is a beautiful hand crafted Bobbin stool from an old English Country House collection.
Late Victorian and carved from Rosewood with no cracks or repairs . The piece has a beautiful patina and would adorn any room. The stool has been recovered with ' Velours de Kasai' from the 1960's This is a textile woven by the Kuba people of Congo and gifted to wedding guests during the marriage ceremony of a high ranking girl.
The combination of traditional English carving and Kuba textile work well to form an interesting and practical piece of furniture.
