About the Item

19th Century French Louis XIV Painted Stool features tailored architecture and masculine adornment, plus an original painted finish that makes it more compatible with today's casual lifestyles. Upholstered seat is in serviceable condition but easily replaced with your coordinating fabric. Subtle carved detailing includes two rosette designs, leaf and banner accents, and elegant scrolls behind the boldly carved lions' paw feet. A brass rod connects the two leg structures for added stability. Truly a lovely antique for the discriminating decorator! Circa 1870s Measures 19H x 23.5W x 17.5D
