19th century Swedish birch curule stool circa 1890.
Elegant Scandinavian birch stool with empire influences. Shaped arms with inlaid fans to the top of each end. Generous seat, upholstered in later blue striped fabric. Raised on a curule crossover base, scrolled feet, ebonised roundel and united by a stretcher.
Minor restorations to veneer on feet, surface fading and light staining to fabric.
