Nigeria, mid 20th century. Three hand-carved wood stools from the Nupe community. NOTE ^^^ THE GREEN STOOL HAS NEEN SOLD,,, Each features round form with conical legs and richly incised top.3 hand painted.. As most Nupe are Muslim, their art tends tends to lean towards abstraction often with complex geometric decoration and occasional animal motifs. Carved from one piece of wood, these stool make a great accent piece or small occasional table. In very good vintage condition with warm surface patina. Priced individually.. Taller stools 11" h,, shorter stools approx 8"
