About the Item
Trina is a classic stool for your kitchen counter. It's offered in oak or cherry and stands 27 inches high. Through-tenons are secured with wedges. The contoured seat offers comfort in several orientations while the legs, tapered at the ends and thicker in the middle, maximize strength and minimize weight. And with three legs, it never wobbles. Trina will provide a lifetime of style and function.
Complements height of standard kitchen counter or island; too low for "bars."

The story behind Trina:
A couple years ago James was sharing a wood shop with Mike, and admired a couple of three-legged wooden stools with contoured seats that Mike had designed and built. By coincidence, James had recently moved into an apartment with a large kitchen island, and he needed stools so guests could sit comfortably at the island to chat, while dinner got made. With mid-century design sensibilities in mind, and desiring a high strength-to-weight ratio, Trina was the natural outcome. He still uses the stools in his kitchen today.

Jambosco
Jambosco is based in northern Indiana, a land abounding in corn fields and RV factories, where you might park your car next to an Amish buggy at the grocery store, or get invited to your neighbor's quinceanera party. The vibrancy of contrasting cultural ways pushes us to reconsider the well-trod paths of convention. Style-wise, the dominant influence for Jambosco is mid-century modernism. All pieces are American-made by craftsmen in northern Indiana. James Loewen is the founder of Jambosco. Born in the Congo and raised on several continents, he studied industrial design in Milan Italy, has designed furniture and other objects for many years, and now lives in Goshen Indiana.
Currently Trina is available in cherry, white oak, and red oak.
