About the Item

This set of (3) Art Deco stools have a dignified air about them, a lasting remnant of the time when they were made nearly a century ago. With subtly flared beech carved legs in a manner not dissimilar to Michael Thonet, these stools strike a neat silhouette. They have been finished in a layer of black paint, and though the color is worn and rubbed in places from years of use, the color holds up strongly in a majority of the frames. These stools are upholstered in dark toned leather which are creased and pleated into a cross, creating a square pattern on each seat. The leather upholstery has a vintage patina, with a mix of lightened and darkened areas that add to rustic appearance. These stools have minor signs of wear that is consistent with age and use. They can be enjoyed as they are, or with a gentle refinishing, easily be restored for another century of use.
