This is an antique dressing stool. An English, mahogany and chenille upholstered footstool, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.
Graced with superb colour and a fine, tactile upholstery
Displays a desirable aged patina and in very good order
Benefiting from a professional reupholstering and traditionally sprung
Select stocks to the legs show fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Finished in a vibrant, deep turquoise chenille fabric with silver under layer
As befits the quality of the work, the cushion finished with a double rolled edge
