Art Nouveau Style vintage modernist stool model No. 51 from beech bentwood and woven cane by August Thonet 1870 - 1880, Vienna.
A beautiful stool and early model from Viennese mesh and beech bentwood stained in chocolate brown color by August Thonet 1870 - 1880.
Company label is branded underneath the seat.
While the seat shows quadratic shape, the feet are slightly curved.
Beautiful condition - while the base is shellac polished by hand,
the woven cane seat is recently renewed.
Stable and sturdy
This stool shows a modernist and sophisticated appearance and was used with pleasure in this period to underline the easygoing chic and feel.
It works wonderfully in your living room area in your Contemporary, Art Deco, Rustic or Traditional environment.
