About the Item
The Stool is the central piece of the Boudins Collection, a series of handcrafted functional objects that surprise and stand out by their sculptural shapes and transparent colorful palette. The Boudins pieces are iconic, yet functional and easily find their place in our daily living environments.
The Stool stands at the crossroads of luxury and playfulness. It is entirely made out of glass transparent resin which creates distortions and reflections of the surrounding environment. Its nine resin rods are shaped individually then assembled in a row to form the seating. Their atypical shape starts very organized then gradually becomes loose and organic.
In order to create a refine and unexpected color scale for Boudins, Sabourin Costes explored diverse directions and shades before making a final selection of this unique bright pink for the Stool. The studio has developed a few other exclusive color recipes, which are available for bespoke orders
