This fine early 20th century Lobi or Bwa stool originates from Burkina Faso or Mali, a rare example of African tribal artistry and functional design. Hand-carved from solid wood, the rectangular seat is topped with a sculptural element resembling a neck and head at one end, a distinctive motif reflecting spiritual symbolism and ancestral reverence in Lobi and Bwa culture.
