About the Item
This Empire-style upholstered ottoman offers a strong, traditional presence with sculptural scroll supports and a substantial platform base. It’s a versatile accent that brings old-world character without feeling overly formal.
The base design is rooted in classical traditions—symmetrical, architectural, and grounded—echoing Empire and Neoclassical forms. The wood appears to be mahogany or a mahogany-toned finished wood, with a warm coloration that pairs easily with both antique and transitional interiors.
The seat has been reupholstered in a striped textile with decorative trim, giving it a finished, tailored edge. Whether used in front of a chair, at the end of a bed, or tucked under a console, it adds function and texture.
