About the Item
Industrial elegance encapsulated in this stool designed by Lila Swift and Donald Monell. A great example of the studio craft movement that blends well with the mid century modern aesthetic. This example retains its original leather strapping, and cotton woven cords underneath, which shows great age and patina. Great as a bedside table, end table, extra seating or just as a beautiful functional object.
The leather has been recently conditioned (March 2025).
A Minimalist piece with enough honesty and authenticity to work anywhere. A recognized piece in the Design World that establishes any space where it is incorporated as one that hints subtly at an understated sophistication.
We love the flexibility of a low stool in worn, natural materials and this one has an iconic status that elevates it above most.
