About the Item
Whimsical country French oak stool or bench seat made in the Louis XIII taste. The bench features an oak frame with Os de Mouton or mutton legs. The frame is upholstered with a colorful fabric having a geometric chevron zigzag pattern bordered by patinated brass tack nail heads. The thick, curved mutton legs are conjoined by curved stretchers making the stool very sturdy and solid. The oak has a rich, aged patina that showcases the woodgrains. The wood has a smooth hand rubbed finish with soft wear and patina. The fabric features dramatic yellow, amber, and brown tones.
