A lovely and unusual pair of 19th Century Gothic well figured X framed stools of fabulous quality and finely hand carved and beautifully constructed with rich patination and grain. The padded seat of rectangular form is upholstered in a gorgeous pale blue fabric raised over a simple frieze with decorative applied sphere and trefoil arch gothic motifs flanked with a pair of elegant, moulded and outplayed X frame supports with further trefoil arch motif detail throughout, united with stretcher.
