About the Item

Known for being one of the first actresses to imitate the look of Marilyn Monroe. Mamie Van Doren was signed by the Universal Studio at age 18 with the hope that they could make her their answer to the 20th century Fox’s Marilyn Monroe. Inspired by one of the platinum-blonde goddesses of all times, Mamie Van Doren, Ottiu designers conceived this modern midcentury ottoman. Bringing effortless style to any home décor, the Mamie bench is upholstered in velvet supported by a brushed brass base. Used as a bench or a footstool, this upholstered beauty will bring an attractive presence to any room, matching with Ottiu’s armchairs.
