About the Item
Pair of restored Danish teak counter height barstools in new taupe upholstery. These stools date from 1980s. They were originally purchased from Copenhagen Imports Scandinavian Modern furniture store in Sarasota, Florida. The original owner kept these stools up until now. The Minimalist architectural wood frames are indeed solid teak, despite their dark walnut color. The owner had them stained darker to complement some of her other decor.
Our restoration team updated the stools further with new taupe colored fabric. The darker wood and neutral upholstery are perfectly suited for contemporary tastes. Back rests, padded seats and a foot rest bar make these stools quite comfortable.
Crafted in the 1980s and finished in a warm walnut-tone teak, this pair of sculptural barstools reimagines mid-century Danish modern for a contemporary context. Their architectural frames feature gracefully tapered legs and elegantly sloped backrests, enriched by new taupe upholstery that provides both comfort and tactile sophistication. The result is a harmony between clean design and organic warmth, perfectly suited to refined interiors.
Though no specific designer attribution is noted, the stools clearly echo the ethos of classic Danish furniture design, with a restrained elegance reminiscent of Poul Volther and other masters of modern Scandinavian seating. The craftsmanship, proportions, and refreshed upholstery make them as functional as they are visually striking.
