About the Item
Bring sculptural elegance and historical flair to any space with this striking pair of antique stools. Crafted in France circa 1880, each stool features a cast iron base in the form of an Egyptian maiden standing atop a tiered circular plinth. The figures are richly detailed, with gilt accents highlighting their headdresses, jewelry, and draped garments, a refined nod to the 19th-century fascination with Egyptology sparked by Napoleon’s campaigns.
The stools have been newly upholstered with smooth black leather seats, offering a fresh and luxurious contrast to the patinated iron bases. Solid and well-balanced, they combine artistic craftsmanship with practical function, making them ideal as vanity stools, decorative side seats, or sculptural accents in a living room or dressing area.
