About the Item
This pair of stools produced in the 1960s is composed of a solid wood rectangular structure with hand-woven taboa straw seats. The pieces still have the authorship unidentified by our team.
The stool is one of the first forms of individual seating furniture. Without arms or backs, this typology originated many other possibilities through time, being very present in Brazilian homes until today.
The simple design is punctual and translates the informality of its use: low pieces on which the user had to crouch to sit and effortlessly move anywhere. Perfect for adding informal seating to any room!
Among the renowned Brazilian design icons, multiple small manufacturers and artisans kept producing high-quality and well-designed furniture pieces, reinventing the typologies we already know for a long time and bringing them to new contexts.
This unrestored piece is in very good vintage condition. The restoration services by our Workshop is included as a courtesy.
