About the Item
Distinctive pair of matching Chinese export garden drum stools or drinks tables made in the Qing style. Beautifully crafted from rich, dark rosewood with a drum, or tabouret form. The open lattice design showcases the curvilinear frame work with a faux-rope or rattan motif lashed together with faux-ties. The barrel shaped stools are very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The seams and joints on the stool are remarkably tight. Very good, well preserved condition. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
