These are a first for us and the style, quality and condition continue to amaze us every time we walk by. These stylish, post-modern vintage 1970s Lucite acrylic vanity benches have a unique quality. As one moves about the stools, you will notice that they cast a yellow tint along the edges. The yellow glow is visible only at certain angles as the acrylic acts as a prism to transform light. Use these as benches, foot stools or a chair for your desk or vanity. The benches have been updated with new foam and faux leather gunmetal gray snakeskin upholstery. The acrylic has been professionally polished and looks like glass. The acrylic is in uncommonly excellent vintage condition with very minor imperfections. Easily change the material on the stools as your style or fashion dictates.
This Lucite bench-stool, inspired by Charles Hollis Jones, offers bold transparency and design clarity that feel both vintage and timeless. It measures approximately 18½ inches (47 cm) wide, 13 inches (33 cm) deep, and 19½ inches (49.5 cm) high, with the seat height matching the overall bench height — proportions that make it compact yet substantial enough to function as a vanity stool, accent bench, or occasional seat.
Made from brilliant clear acrylic (Lucite), the bench has sleek, curved lines and beveled edges which catch light and refract it, creating subtle visual effects of sparkle and shadow. The materials include a padded cushion on top, and that seating surface has been re-upholstered or refreshed to combine comfort with modern texture, while staying true to the aesthetic of the original era.
Condition is very good, showing minor wear consistent with age. The acrylic is in uncommonly excellent vintage condition with very minor imperfections. New foam and faux leather snakeskin.
