About the Item

This is an old Japanese stool made in the Taisho period (1913-1930s). It was made by reusing the iron frame of a bicycle at a time when supplies were scarce. The wooden part is made of lauan wood, which gives it a warm texture. This stool exudes a sense of wabi-sabi from the well-used material, and has a tasteful finish. It is modest but has a strong presence as interior decor, and is particularly recommended for use as a flower stand. When using it as a stool, please sit carefully and do not put too much weight on it. A beautiful piece with a wabi-sabi feel that evokes the times. Please incorporate it into your daily life and enjoy its history and charm. Weight:2.6kg
