About the Item
Set of two Italian alpine pine wood stools in the style of Charlotte Perriand’s Méribel designs, Italy, circa 1960s. Crafted from solid fir wood, these stools reflect the restrained, functional aesthetic associated with postwar alpine modernism and French mountain furniture.
The design features thick circular seats supported by three slightly splayed cylindrical legs, joined through traditional mortise-and-tenon construction. The visible joinery and honest use of material emphasize durability and craftsmanship, while the warm honey-brown patina highlights the natural grain and knots of the pine.
