About the Item
A set of 4 elegant stools designed by Lila Swift and Donald Monell. A great example of the studio craft movement that blends well with the mid century modern aesthetic. These stools retain their original leather strapping, which shows great age and patina. Great as bedside tables, end tables, extra seating or just as beautiful functional objects. These would compliment pieces made by Gio Ponti, Edward Wormley, Vladimir Kagan, Robsjohn Gibbings, Harvey Probber and others.
Shorter pair retaining original stamps to the leather.
Dimensions:
Tall:15.25” diameter x 18” high
Short: 15.5” diameter x 12” high
Condition: One tall example with leather strap repairs and reinforcements underneath. Not discernible unless flipped over. The leather has been conditioned. Shorter pair with rips and replaced string.
