Description
These three-legged stools recall the rustic elegance and tactile warmth seen in Perriand’s designs during her time collaborating with French and Japanese craftsmen in the mid-20th century. Each stool is crafted from solid stained ash wood with a round, thick seat and tapered legs. The angled legs are joined by a softly turned stretcher, providing both reinforcement and visual rhythm.
The deliberate simplicity of the form references Perriand’s commitment to honest materials and practical use. While the designer's hand behind this pair is unknown, the proportions, stance and shaping draw clear influence from Perriand’s seminal works from the 1940s and 50s.
