Stools, beech, Europe, 1980s
Functional stools with a straightforward geometric appearance. The square base is defined by four vertical legs connected by horizontal stretchers, forming a stable cubic frame. Most striking is the seat: composed of five slightly curved slats, it subtly echoes the human form with its concave profile, inviting comfort without padding. The curvature disrupts the rectilinear structure, introducing a tactile softness into an otherwise rigid composition.
