About the Item
Stunning ‘Apila’ Stool designed by Rauni Peippo and manufactured by Stockmann Orno, Finland 1960. This stool is made of solid pine and has amazing shapes. The stool looks a bit like a lucky clover standing in the field. Very refined and playful stool and rare to find. In very good condition with nice patina and normal wear due to age and use. The stool has a nice warm color of the pine wood and nice grained.
Rauni Peippo (1934-2021), who studied drawing as a teacher and later as an interior designer at the Ateneum, worked as a young designer in 1964-66 at Stockmann's famous drawing office. The furniture designed at the drawing office was made at the Kerava joinery factory.
