About the Item

A small stool crafted by an 18th century windsor chair maker, with thick top of beautifully patinated elm over turned and splayed ash legs. Originally used for perching on when milking cows, the small size allowing for easy carrying to the next cow. Now a delightful drinks stool next to a club chair or sofa. English, circa 1780.
