About the Item
A fully restored, perfectly sized, 1930s tufted Baker wing back chair. Beautiful smaller scale chair, reupholstered with a soft and supple Holly Hunt high quality leather. The leather is a luscious warm spice color. Legs are stained dark walnut. It features lovely antiqued brass nailhead trim.
This would be the perfect chair for curling up with a good book. There's a very good reason why this style of chair has remained popular since its introduction in the 1600's - it's a true classic. Wing chairs have been made in a variety of sizes and they can often be overwhelming in scale. This chair is simply perfectly sized. It's roomy enough for a very big retired rugby player but also comfortable for a petite woman. Additionally, this chair is extremely comfortable and a true chameleon - it can blend in with almost any design style.
The original label on this chair was destroyed when the chair was sent out for a full restoration.
