About the Item
Handsomely aged Georgian tufted wingback chair and matching ottoman crafted by Schafer Bros. The large armchair features a mahogany hardwood frame with fully developed wings and a generous seat. The frame has been upholstered with a tufted cognac cigar leather in the English chesterfield style. The borders have been decorated with patinated brass tack nail heads. The marbled cognac leather has beautifully aged with fine cracks and desirable wear on the leather finish giving the chair charm, character, and sophistication. Heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The matching ottoman measures 25 inches wide by 19 inches deep and 16 inches high. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
