It is a real statement piece and looks expensive and important in any setting. It has been washed back, hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed, waxed down and polished, this will be pretty much the finest example of this type of chair for sale anywhere in the world today
This is a traditional, canopy top porters armchair, the idea being your "porter" or night watchman could sit in it and keep an eye whilst having the wind kept off his face and a little nap, today they are used as signature armchairs
