This upholstered Knowle-style armchair features a tailored silhouette with a high back, sloping arms, and comfortable cushioning. The Knowle form has English origins that date to the seventeenth century, when hinged-arm settle chairs were designed to keep out drafts. Modern interpretations retain the distinctive profile while updating comfort and upholstery.
