About the Item
c. 1910s-1920s; Oak Multi-Drawer Apothecary / Filing Cabinet
Quarter-sawn oak cabinet fitted with twenty-five drawers, each finished with cast iron pulls and ornate integrated label frames.
This piece was likely produced for pharmacy, but could also have been used for hardware and general stores providing organized storage for small inventory, documents, or apothecary goods. The finely grained oak surfaces are framed in paneled sides and a molded top, with the drawers anchored by decorative iron hardware in a foliate motif. Its solid oak casework with construction that reflects early 20th-century American craftsmanship. The oak and iron lends authenticity and character to its century-long service life. This vintage apothecary features twenty five drawers of uniform size.
This apothecary features original ornate cast iron drawer pulls. It is important to note that two of the drawers display chips missing from the wood, as well as the bottom right corner. Please refer to photos for condition and details.
