About the Item

This beautiful antique chest was crafted in England at the end of the 18th century. The chest is entirely made of solid oak wood. Its front features three recessed panels with two drawers underneath. The framework of the chest is richly adorned with exquisite carving patterns, including c-scrolls, stylized tulips, and geometric floral motifs. Both drawers have wooden knobs. The lid of the chest is made of light wood, making it easy to open. Surrounding the lid is a simple molding. The sides of the chest each have two recessed panels. The chest retains its original working lock with key. The piece is deeply warm and very dark brown in color, with a deep shine. It was delicately cleaned both inside and out in our workshop. A protective wax layer was applied to the exterior. The chest is sturdy, clean, free of defects, and ready for use.
