About the Item
A unique antique bridal chest, dating from around 1900. The chest is a beautiful example of German folk art that found its way to Romania at the time. Crafted from pine, it is painted in a warm green base color, richly decorated with hand-painted floral motifs. The paint has worn naturally over the years, giving the chest an authentic, timeworn, and distinctive appearance.
The chest has been carefully inspected and restored, including the replacement of the hinges. Old, occasionally present woodworm marks have been checked and treated.
An exceptional decorative item for lovers of country furniture, folk art, or unique interior accents.
