Description:
Painted chest dated 1800, distinguished by a warm red-iron tone combined with blue panels and stylized floral motifs typical of Alpine folk tradition from the 19th century.
The front features framed painted panels enriched with hand-decorated flower bouquets, alongside the date "1800" and the initials "B" and "S," likely referring to the original owners and possibly linked to a wedding or dowry.
The top also presents painted panels consistent with the decorative scheme. Turned feet and original wrought-iron lock hardware complete the piece.
A charming and authentic item with a rich patina, ideal for mountain chalets, rustic-elegant interiors, or country-style environments.

- Structural restoration: replacement of small missing parts, closure of any cracks in the back panel, consolidation of deteriorated areas, inspection and repair of hardware.
- Thorough anti-woodworm treatment.
- Cleaning and sanitization of interiors.
- Exterior finish with natural beeswax.
- Interior finish with shellac, a natural alcohol-based varnish.
