About the Item
A large wonderful early American Country Sheraton tiger maple blanket chest or firewood box with bold wood grain, solid corner support posts, and great overall patina, supported on four short turned feet. It appears that some of its original lock hardware has been removed. Dates to the 19th century in very good overall condition, with minor surface stains, losses, and light wear commensurate with age and use. Some illegible writing on the back of the chest. Dimensions: 33 in H x 48.38 in W x 27 in D. Ref: 8
