About the Item

Small Antique painted blancket chest Measures: H. 31cm - L. 72cm - P. 45cm Rare small chest in painted fir wood. The decorations are geometric, of an intense blue color, with red borders. The front of the chest is shaped with a "triple crossbow move". This type of processing was carried out in the mid-1700s only in the most refined and precious furniture. It can usually be found in bureaus, trumeau and chest of drawers, much more rarely in blanket chests, especially with such small dimensions. The lock and key are original and functional. North Italy 1750 circa.
