About the Item

Large Early Baroque Alpine Architecturally Inlaid Coffer/Chest, the front featuring two arched panels inlaid with town scenes, the paneled top also inlaid and adorned with decorative iron work and with a large decorative iron lock mounted inside. The simply paneled sides have large iron handles. Wonderful, rich, warm color and patina. Five small interior drawers now missing. Our pieces are left in lived-in condition, pending our custom conservation and polish to preference.

A Spanish 18th century large size carved-wood coffer trunk. This Spanish trunk from the 18th century features a long rectangular-shaped top which rests above a beautifully carved case adorned with leaf motif moldings and geometrically designed panels with decorative accents within their centers. Front paw feet project out beneath the thickly molded skirt. The trunk's interior offers a large open storage space.
