About the Item

An Indonesian rustic blanket chest from the 19th century, with brass details and hidden storage box. Created in Indonesia during the 19th century, this blanket chest captures the attention with its brass accentuation and great rustic character. The chest features a rectangular lid opening to reveal a simple interior with side storage box. The façade showcases a regular rhythm of petite brass rosettes surrounded by additional brass details. The sides present lateral patinated brass C-scroll handles allowing the piece to be moved more easily. The chest is raised on four bracket feet. Boasting a nicely weathered appearance indicating the piece's good age and use, this Indonesian blanket chest from the 19th century will bring a rustic touch of authenticity to any home, perhaps placed in a living room or bedroom.
