About the Item

Scandinavian mid 19th century painted pine strongbox circa 1840. Good quality rustic swedish pine strong box, painted in black with original metal strap work. Flat top which makes it possible to use as a side table. Hinged lid opens to a bare pine interior fitted with an open partition. Obvious losses to paintwork, losses and rusting to metalwork. No working lock. Still functions and ready for everyday use. Height: 30.5cm Width: 71.7cm Depth: 46.3cm
