About the Item
Thought to be a craftsman-made, folk item, this functional trunk/ blanket chest is pieces from solid strips of wood to create a decorative striped effect. The hinged id is in working condition. Hidden brass casters underneath the base allow the trunk to be easily moved and rolled. The interior is not lined and is the backside of the pieced wood visible from the exterior. Separation between some of the wood strips can be seen on the lid of the chest. These are non-structural and present no functional issues. The chest is structural overall and does not wrack or wobble.
